Behind the pseudonym Maud stands artist, producer, composer and singer Kristine Hoff who grew up in Northern Norway, where the sun almost never shines or never sets. Carefully enveloped in dreamy synths, rapid beats, and processed vocals, Maud immerses you into a dream world of ethereal pop.

Since making waves as one of the brightest new names coming out of the legendary Norwegian electronic music scene, Maud’s undeniable potential has secured her nationwide spins on national radio and coveted featuring on festival line-ups at the likes of Bime PRO, Tallinn Music Week, Øyafestivalen, Festspillene i Nord-Norge and Trænafestivalen.

In 2023 she has been the recipient of the Arctic Talent award, Northern Norway’s largest music scholarship grant, as well as being selected as a participant in the global development programme Keychange. In 2024 she is finally ready to return with her new self-produced album «The Love That Remains».

The past few years Norway has produced some iconic musicians, ranging from Sigrid all the way to AURORA and I wouldn’t be surprised if Maud finds her name with them in the future. She’s a gem in the Norwegian underground scene

Rapidly rising on home turf, Maud has also gained blog hype across the UK, US, France and Australia. Confirming herself as a noteworthy new act she has previously landed the cover of Deezer’s New Electronic playlist, as well as further editorial support from Spotify’s Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds Dance and New Music Friday Norway alongside airplay on Amazing Radio in the UK. In August 2022 she was selected as a featured artist on NRK P3.

In 2020 she was presented as part of Insomnia’s talent program Cloud Exit in Tromsø, supported by Talent Norge and Sparebankstiftelsen SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge. As both a producer, tracker, programmer and engineer educated in Electronic Music at the University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway, Maud has managed to develop an unique artistic expression which doesn’t sound quite like anyone else.

Remind Me envelops listeners in dreamy synths and delicate vocals, gradually building to a crescendo of juddering beats and synths

There is nothing that soothes our souls quite like the chiming synths and nostalgia-driven tunes of Maud’s experimental soundscape.
